Composite Rear Springs...

It's no secret that I'm not a fan of composite rear springs, mainly because they are bouncy and expensive. This is another trait of the composite rear spring.

I suspect maybe the spring has been jacked up in the past and sustained some damage, but we have seen this on a few occasions, so it may just be wear and tear.

The ride height of this 81 was very very low, the front coils were touching each other and the rear spring had cracked almost all the way across - that could have been catastrophic. A new rear spring and new front coils restored the ride height to normal.

So check your springs.....
