1969 350/350 4 Speed Two Top Roadster - Body Off Restored and Stunning Throughout

£41,500

Black with black interior, black soft top and black hardtop. This is an absolutely stunning car having just received a comprehensive £8000 re-commissioning in our workshops including new brakes throughout, new tyres, new seatbelts, fully serviced and ready to roll.

Extensively restored and originally imported from Florida this car spent several years as part of a private collection in Paris, it was recently imported into the UK and UK registered. we purchased the car and embarked on a very comprehensive re-commissioning.

This is amongst the finest C3's we have had for sale recently. it is my favourite year that still retains the more delicate fender and grille treatments without a lot of the finicky parts on a 68 and without the more brash fender flares and grilles of the 70 onward cars. GM got everything right in 69!

Externally this car is just breathtaking, body and paint are superb with only one minor blemish on the front edge of the drivers door, see photographs. Door, headlight, and hood gaps are excellent, the paint finish is deep without looking plasticky like a lot of repaints. All chrome is in top condition, as are all light lenses, we have just renewed tail lamp lenses, and rear license plate surround, emblems are like new. Weatherstripping is excellent, as is all glass, there is little or nothing to let this car down.

The interior is very nice indeed and appears to be largely original, it is not brand new and has a nice feel to it. I believe the carpets and seat covers have been replaced in the past, and we have just fitted new seat backs and replaced the original lap belts with a 3 point safety belt set for added security, we also installed a new rear view mirror. The leather seat covers are in excellent condition and the seats are comfy, carpets and door panels are very good. The dash is original and in very nice condition.

Power windows work as they should. All gauges work including the clock, gauge faces are in nice shape with clean faces and bright printing. An aftermarket iPod radio is installed with additional rear speakers. The soft top is very good and will have been replaced at some point,  fit is good and weatherstripping is in nice order. There is an original vinyl covered hard top which again is in very nice condition, and we have just fitted a new rear bow weatherstrip to this. The hard top is a real nice thing to have and these early convertibles look great with the hard top on. it really changes the way you can use the car too.

The engine bay is very nice throughout, and the matching numbers 350 cubic inch 350 hp motor starts easily and runs strong, very original with ignition shielding present, fan and shroud all in place, correct air cleaner assembly, correct aluminium valve covers which have just been bead blasted and fitted with new gaskets and grommets, we have serviced the engine with new NGK plugs, Valvoline VR Racing oil and AC Delco filters, including the correct GF432 fuel filter.

Factory cast iron exhaust manifolds hook up to a 2 1/2" exhaust system and Flowmaster mufflers, this Corvette sounds how you want a Corvette to sound, not obtrusive at cruising speed but loud enough when you get on it. The original 4 speed transmission shifts easily, and the clutch is nice and light. Its a very easy car to drive with power steering and power brakes. We have renewed all four brake callipers with stainless steel sleeved lip seal units, new semi metallic pads front and rear, all new hoses, and a new master cylinder. The brake lines were renewed at the time of the original restoration along with fuel lines. Underneath the cars is excellent, the chassis is rust free, trailing arms look to have been replaced along with new wheel bearings, rear spring, shocks, strut rods, all bushes front and rear, and we just installed new 460lb GT front coil springs, the best you can get.

New Cooper Cobra 225/70x15 tyres are fitted all round to original 8" Ralley rims, centre caps are excellent and we also fitted new stainless steel original style trim rings, the tyres are the best size you can fit to a C3 and really make these cars handle. We also installed a new front crossmember, and any bushings we saw showing any signs of age have been replaced, along with a new Bosch battery, new power steering hoses, new fuel hoses, new seat belt reinforcements, and lots more. This is not an inexpensive car and my goal with this is to provide the new owner with as trouble free an experience as a 52 year old car can be...

I think you will be hard pressed to find a Corvette for sale today that is better than this car, it is hard enough to find a chrome bumper C3 in this nice condition as it is, let alone one that has had just shy of £8000 spent in our workshops with road test miles only. This 69 roadster looks wonderful, drives really really nicely, sounds great, has never been shown in the UK, and is absolutely ready to go.

I will take another C1, C2, or C3 Corvette in part exchange. Please call 01263 739944 for more info or to view. I can arrange delivery to any where mainland UK and all ports.
