Side mount systems are complete with headers and side tubes. Slip-in mufflers must be ordered separately. See part #’s 322619 or 322062. 

Suitable for any combination of air conditioning, power steering or brakes, manual or automatic transmissions. Header sets include header gaskets, header bolts, and instructions.

Installation of headers on small block applications require the use of #323904 alternator bracket set.

Installation of headers on air conditioning equipped small block applications up to 1978 with long style compressors require the use of #323911 compressor bracket.

Doug's headers feature thick 3/8 inch flanges and heavy 16-gauge tubing ensuring peak performance and long life. Featuring a 2 1/8 inch primary tube diameter. Matching 4-inch side tubes bolt to existing holes. Better quality than Hooker, XS, Thrush, and just about all other aftermarket side pipe systems.

Please Note: Ceramic coat is not a bright finish like chrome and will have some inconsistencies, dull and bright spots are a common trait of ceramic coating. 

PLEASE NOTE: Although these are the best quality side exhausts we have come across you may still experience fitment issues:

You may need to dent in a tube to clear your steering box and you may need to replace plug wires to clear the headers.

You may have to tweak mount brackets for the side pipe tube to fit. Always debut the inside of the tube before installing.

You may have to fasten the slip in muffler with a self tapping screw.

They are not the easiest part to install but if you want side pipes its what you have to do.

Also note that stainless steel pipes will yellow and discolour with time. Black heat resistant paint will need to be refreshed periodically. Chrome will rust if not kept polished and clean from road grime and damp.
