Further Information
Fiberglass bumpers will need to be pre-fitted to the car before painting and will require filling and fairing to achieve a perfect fit. All mount and light holes will need to be drilled. We recommend the use of GRP bumpers over all other replacements as a perfect fit and finish is possible and the paint won't crack. They are also the most economic route for repair. Use original style retainers where necessary. It is possible to use nuts and bolts on fibreglass replacement rear bumpers
TruFlex Bumpers are 70% more flexible than standard fibreglass bumpers and do not need a flex agent adding to the paint like urethane bumpers but will still afford a small amount of flexibility.
Urethane bumpers are original equipment and some deformation when installed is to be expected, sometimes even before installation. In time these will develop a wavy finish. A flex agent must be added to the paint and the paint may crack after installation. We only recommend these for absolute correct restorations where NCRS points are more important than final fit and finish.
All body replacement parts are considered repair parts and should be pre-fitted to the car before painting.
Occasionally these parts may have chips, scratches, or voids, occasionally even minor cracks when received. This is considered to be normal and is not a reason for parts replacement.
